Mangakino

The Community Swimming pool was officially opened in December 2007.

Since its opening it has become a popular and well used asset to the community.

The pool is heated by solar and gas but is closed during the winter months.  It opens about mid October and closes around Easter (weather permitting).  It is manned by a staff of fully qualified Lifeguards and assistants.

Opening hours for the pool are:

During the school term - 3.30pm to 5.30pm weekdays and 1.00pm to 5.00pm weekends

During school holidays - 1.00pm to 5.00pm weekdays and weekends

CLOSED CHRISTMAS DAY

Learn to swim and aqua jogging sessions were started in 2008 and will continue on demand each summer.

Admission:

Children 0 to 12 years- 1 orange ticket

Students 13 to 17 years - 2 orange tickets

Adults - 3 orange tickets

Tickets cost $1 each and are available from  Bernies and the Taupo District Council office.
